State of the Art Lecture by Abigail Payne

Abigail Payne from McMaster University will deliver one of this year’s State of the Art Lectures at the 2015 CEA conference. Abigail is a former CWEN president; she holds a Canada Research Chair in Public Economics, and is the director of Public Economics Data Analysis Laboratory (PEDAL) at McMaster. Abigail will speak about the state of the art in research on charitable giving, adressing questions such as “What motivates individuals to give? Does government funding crowd out private giving? What role play social networks in donations?”
